Happy Easter!

Well look at that, I said I would post before the weekend was over and it’s happening! I think this is going to be the start of a wonderful relationship. I still haven’t figured out my layouts and am sorry for the boring white background and lack of pictures. Tomorrow starts spring break, so no lesson plans for the mom who lacks a teaching degree. Can I get a whoop whoop?  Maybe, it will mean that the kids will play outside all week and I will have the time to bedazzle my page! Who is laughing at me right now?  Come on Crystal, mom’s do not have free time, especially during the day.  Oh well, a girl can dream right?

Hopefully, everyone has enjoyed their first social distancing Easter. In our house, all members of the family must be awake for the festivities to begin.  Our youngest, Tyler was the last of our children to wake up so, in true fashion; as he was slowly opening those beautiful baby blues, the others were throwing their shoes on, ready to go get eggs. We watched the church sermon live, on the computer following the hunt. Three of us were quiet and listening…life with toddlers, I think I’ll call that a win! As I was driving to the church to pick up our individual bags of bread dipped in juice for communion, I was contemplating on what topic I would choose to write about. I have so many thoughts and want to tell you every single one but, I don’t want to confuse you or, end up being the weird girl who talks too much.

The word “unity” popped into my head and I knew that was the perfect word for today.  The pastor broke the loaf of bread and dipped the bread into the cup.  As we know, the bread signifies the body of Christ and the juice or wine, the blood of Christ in which, he gave for us all. All, being unified by Christ or, one with Christ or, together with Christ. UNITY.  Even though we did not gather with our church family today, we received communion with the bread and juice from one unified loaf.  UNITY.  My social media feed was filled with screen shots of zoom family gatherings and photos of families all dressed up to go nowhere. UNITY.  The past few weeks I have seen communities provide meals, masks, gifts and words of encouragement to essential personnel and healthcare staff. UNITY.  There are those who have fallen ill or have succumbed to this terrible virus and what do we see?  People rallying together to help the families in any way they can.  UNITY.  The recommendations/ requirements that have been enforced with quarantine has put us in a place where we are told to stay home.  If home consists of a mom and six kids to you or it means that you are by yourself, we are all doing it together.  UNITY.    I know right now, is a difficult time for our world.  Don’t block out those who may have different views from you for, we are certainly stronger and happier together.  UNITY.

Stay tuned for my next post tomorrow as I will be creating a new sub-page!!!  HINT….We are doing an experiment with; flour, honey, water and time…. Can you guess???  Good night my friends!

Love,

Ce
